Penticton, B.C. Native Brings Wealth of Junior, Professional Experience

The Hilliard Hockey Club announced Tuesday morning that the program has hired Jake Trask as the new Varsity Head Coach. Jake will be taking over for longtime coach, Wade Bartley, who was at the helm for 9 seasons.

Originally from Penticton, British Columbia, Trask spent five seasons playing major junior hockey in the WHL for the Kamloops Blazers and Saskatoon Blades, where he was an offensive force, tallying 76 goals and 85 assists for 161 career points. Following his junior tenure, Trask spent 8 seasons playing professional hockey in the ECHL and SPHL, including stints with the Louisiana IceGators, Elmira Jackals, Peoria Rivermen, and Macon Mayhem.

After wrapping up his professional career in the 2018-2019 season, Jake spent last season as an Assistant Coach with Dublin Coffman High School. Jake looks forward to working with an already strong program with a proven track record of success. Welcome aboard Jake!
